About this resource
Moving Beyond the Crossroads was developed through the Young People at a Crossroads (YPX) project, led by the University of Manchester in collaboration with the University of Melbourne.
The guide shares open-ended questions, student and teacher responses and practical tips from ‘discussion circles’ held in schools and communities in Manchester and Melbourne.
It captures both the hopes and frustrations of young people and adults, offering realistic ways to make climate conversations more inclusive, hopeful and action-focused.
This resource is flexible and can be used to stimulate safe discussion in classrooms, assemblies, staff training or community settings. It is particularly valuable when used alongside the other Young People at a Crossroads resource or as part of a broader unit of work on climate change.
