No Harm Done: a guide for professionals on self-harm
A guide and short film to support school and college staff respond to self-harm in children and young people.
These resources provide advice, tips and practical strategies to help staff respond to self-harm in the children and young people that they work with.
The guide includes information on the warning signs of self-harm, starting conversations with children and young people about self-harm, and ways of addressing self-harm as part of a whole-school or college approach.
It also provides signposting to additional support for both staff and children and young people.
The short film presents young people’s experiences of self-harm. It was co-produced with young people, parents and professionals.
