This online CPD course for mental health leads introduces restorative practice in school settings. The course aims to help staff to understand the restorative and begin to plan how to implement it in their settings.

The course covers the philosophy of the restorative process, and outlines how schools and colleges can take a trauma-informed and relational approach to pupils’ wellbeing.

The course also covers:

  • how to draw on restorative practice to support positive mental health and well-being, behaviour management, teaching and learning
  • how other schools and colleges have implemented restorative practice
  • how to begin individual, departmental and pastoral action planning.

The course is delivered entirely online. It consists of both a self-paced e-learning and live coaching sessions on Zoom. The e-learning takes around five hours to complete.

Please note that this is a paid resource. Funding for the course is available via a Department for Education grant.

Participants can contact the organisation to find out when the course is next running.
