Staff helpline
A free helpline offering immediate, confidential support to education staff.
This free education staff helpline from Education Support aims to provide confidential support from a qualified counsellor.
Education staff can call for advice and support for a variety of concerns, such as:
- managing difficult feelings or situations
- advice on boundary setting and self-care
- getting the best out of your work relationships.
The resource addresses a number of frequently asked questions such as what happens when staff call the helpline and who can use the helpline.
If staff prefer to speak in a different language with the counsellor, they will be offered a translator or a counsellor who speaks the requested language. If this is not immediately possible, Education Support will arrange a call back.
The helpline can also be accessed through email or live chat, making it accessible for those who have difficulty hearing.
Mental health leads could share this resource with other staff and use it to signpost for further support where appropriate.
