Staff mental health and wellbeing plan
A template to help senior leaders draft a staff mental health and wellbeing plan.
This template contains helpful points to consider when developing a staff wellbeing plan.
It advises carrying out a mental health and wellbeing audit to understand your setting’s current provision and links to a useful tool to help facilitate this.
Additionally, it recommends using measurement tools to better understand any mental health needs and speak to staff from a range of different backgrounds to identify any additional barriers to accessing support.
The plan emphasises that every school is different, but a plan should have clear themes, actions, measures of success and accountability.
The guide lists a number of themes that staff can consider when developing an action plan. Some of the themes include:
- how to create a structured approach to prioritising staff wellbeing
- how to promote an open culture around mental health
