Wellbeing activity leaflet for primary schools
A leaflet containing practical wellbeing activities for staff to use with children in primary schools.
This leaflet contains several creative, accessible and practical activities to support children in primary schools with their wellbeing.
The resource aims to introduce children to ways of thinking positively about their wellbeing. As well as tips and techniques, it provides space for children to reflect on different ways of looking after their mental health and wellbeing.
The resource covers:
- what wellbeing is and why it is important
- the importance of kindness
- developing self-confidence
- recognising positive emotions, such as joy, pride, inspiration and gratitude.
The leaflet also provides further helpful links to resources from the BBC, Health4Kids and The British Red Cross.
It can be used as a stand-alone resource and as part of your whole-school approach to mental health and wellbeing.
Using this resource
This resource is designed for:
- use by mental health leads working with students aged 3 to 9.
- use by staff working in primary schools.
Learning outcomes
This resource addresses the following learning outcomes:
- Develop, with others, a cross curricular approach to promote mental health and wellbeing.
