About this resource
This short film features a conversation between 11-year-old Beyond Youth Board member Lyra and ‘Captain of Kindness’ Krish Patel from the charity 52 Lives. Together, they explore what kindness looks like in everyday school life and why it matters for children’s mental health.
The film offers a sensitive and age-appropriate discussion about kindness, including Lyra’s experience of bullying and how she found ways to cope with the upset this caused.
It provides an accessible starting point for conversations about empathy, inclusion and the connection between physical and mental health, while reinforcing the importance of speaking up and supporting one another.
