It contains practical information on what anxiety is, how it presents, and how parents and carers can support young people to manage it.
This includes the common signs of anxiety in children and young people, ways of supporting young people to manage their feelings, and information on when and how to seek further professional support.
Mental health leads may wish to signpost this resource to both staff and parents and carers.
Using this resource
This resource is designed for:
- use by mental health leads working with students aged 7 to 19.
- use by staff working in primary schools, secondary schools, colleges (sixth form and FE) and special schools.
