The perfect ice-cream: exploring family mental health difficulties
A short video encouraging understanding about mental health problems.
This short animation and supporting resource pack aim to reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness. It is designed to be used to spark conversation around this topic and encourage tolerance and understanding of others.
Through the video, students are encouraged to consider their own views on mental health and adopt a more considerate attitude towards those who struggle with mental health problems. It also emphasises that not all families are the same.
While the animation is suitable for 9 to 16 year olds, it is worth noting that the resource pack is typically aimed at 11 to 16 year olds. However, these could be adapted to suit different ages and needs.
