Holistic support following a suicide within the school community
This free webinar outlines why schools should formulate a response to suicide in their community.
This webinar describes how to complete a plan in the event of a suicide within the school community and the practicalities surrounding this. It does so by building upon staff knowledge of suicide and giving a step-by-step approach towards creating a plan around it.
The information discussed in the webinar could be used by a mental health lead to consider the culture of their setting and how mental health and wellbeing is viewed across the school.
It could also be used to look at how themes of suicide can be considered in a school’s mental health policy, how to support staff, and how to take advantage of support from external agencies.
Whilst necessary for the nature of the topic, it should be noted that this webinar is one hour and 20 minutes long and so some staff may not be able to finish it in one sitting.
This webinar is CPD accredited and attendees are emailed their certificate after completion.
