A handout and poster for young people with tips and exercises to combat stress and anxiety.

This resource belongs to the resource hub for classroom and wellbeing support.

This booklet, and accompanying poster, looks at stress and ways to address it.

As well as sharing tips for managing stress and burnout, and explaining the difference between healthy and unhealthy coping strategies, the booklet also contains practical exercises for young people to try.

Some of the exercises in the booklet include:

  • the stress bucket
  • the STOPP technique
  • breathing exercises

Using this resource

This resource is designed for:

  • use by individual young people
  • use by young people aged 16 and up

College staff could choose to share this booklet and/or poster with students around exam or assessment time.
